Browser extension
The Atlan browser extension brings metadata context directly into your data tools. Without leaving your workflow, you can view descriptions, owners, lineage, and tags, edit metadata, search Atlan, and link any webpage as a resource to an asset. It works in Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge.
Get started
Follow the steps below to start using the browser extension across your organization.
Install and set up
Install the extension in Chrome or Edge and connect it to your Atlan workspace.
Use the extension
Access metadata in-flow, search Atlan from any webpage, and link resources to assets.
Deploy to your organization (Optional)
Roll out the extension across your team using managed browsers and MDM deployment.
Supported tools
The browser extension works directly inside your data tools, no tab switching required. When you open a supported asset, an Atlan icon appears in the lower-right corner of the page, giving you instant access to metadata, lineage, and governance context.
