Use Atlan in Microsoft Teams
You can use the Atlan Assistant in Microsoft Teams to share assets, view updates, and receive notifications directly within your Teams workspace. After your Atlan admin has completed the Microsoft Teams Marketplace App setup, all members of the workspace can access the Atlan Assistant in configured Teams channels.
Prerequisites
Before you begin using the Atlan Assistant in Microsoft Teams, make sure that the following requirements are met:
- Your organization's Microsoft Teams integration has been configured by an Atlan admin. If the integration isn't yet configured, contact your Atlan admin.
 - The Atlan Assistant app is installed and available in the relevant Microsoft Teams channels.

Use the app
Once your Atlan tenant is connected to Microsoft Teams, you can start using the Atlan Assistant directly in your Teams channels to share assets, get updates, and stay aligned with your team.
-
In any configured Microsoft Teams channel, type @Atlan Assistant followed by a command to perform an action or get information.
 -
Use the following commands to get started:
- help: View a list of all available commands supported by Atlan Assistant.
 - hello: Send a quick greeting to confirm the app is active and responding.
 - connect: Add another Atlan tenant domain to the same channel.

 -
To share Atlan assets directly in Teams messages to keep discussions contextual:
- Paste an Atlan asset link in a conversation to display an embedded preview with key metadata.
 - Expand shared Atlan links to view essential details and open them directly in Atlan.

 -
If you want to collaborate or continue discussions, link Teams conversations back to the relevant Atlan assets.

If you want to stay updated automatically, enable Teams notifications to receive alerts for:
- Glossary updates
 - Announcements
