Credit usage
Understand how credits are consumed by context agents in Context Agents Studio and how to track usage in the Reporting section.
Credits are the unit of consumption for Context Agents Studio. Each time an agent enriches an asset, a fixed number of credits is counted against your organization's balance. You can track credit consumption in the Reporting section of Context Agents Studio.
Credits per action
Different agents consume different amounts of credits based on the complexity of the enrichment:

- Credits are only consumed for assets that are actually enriched. If an asset already has the target attribute, the agent skips it and no credits are charged.
Which agents charge for columns
Only the Description agent enriches child columns, so only the Description agent charges for them:

Enriching a table with 50 columns via the Description agent costs 510 credits: 10 for the table, plus 10 for each of the 50 columns. Running the README agent on that same table costs 50 credits, because READMEs are generated for the table and not for its columns.
Plan Description runs on wide tables with this in mind—a 500-table collection can cost many times more than 500 × 10 if those tables carry hundreds of columns between them.
An estimate shown before a run counts every asset in scope. Assets that turn out to have nothing to generate—SQL Intelligence on a table with no query history, for example—produce no output and aren't charged, so actual consumption can come in below the estimate.

You can monitor your organization's credit consumption in the Reporting section of Context Agents Studio.
Credit metrics
The reporting dashboard shows:
- Credits consumed over time
- Breakdown by agent type
Coverage metrics
The Reporting section also tracks enrichment coverage across your collections:
| Metric | What it means |
|---|---|
| Coverage % | The percentage of assets in the collection that have the tracked attribute filled in. For example, if 60 of 100 assets have a description, description coverage is 60%. |
| Assets enriched | The count of assets where the agent successfully generated and saved the metadata attribute. |
Why reported usage can lag
Credit consumption is calculated from the enrichment activity recorded against your assets, rather than deducted at the moment a run starts. Figures shown shortly after a large run can therefore trail the work that's already been done, and settle as the activity is recorded.
