Switch between UI versions

Atlan has two user interfaces available: the new UI and the Old UI (Classic). You can switch between them anytime based on your preference.

The new UI uses a modern Settings menu and sidebar navigation structure, while the Old UI (Classic) uses direct menu items such as Admin, Governance, Assets, and Insights. Both interfaces provide access to all features and functionality, but their navigation patterns and sidebar layouts differ. Your interface preference is saved to your account and persists when you log back in.

Prerequisites

Your tenant must have access to the new UI experience. Contact your Atlan administrator to enable access.

Switch to different interface

Your interface preference is saved to your account and persists when you log back in. You can switch anytime without affecting your data or configurations.

Old UI → New UI

To switch from the Old UI (Classic) to the new Atlan experience:

1. In the top-right corner of your screen, click on your name or profile picture.
2. From the dropdown menu, click Try the new experience.
3. Click the toggle to confirm the switch.
4. The page reloads and displays the new user interface.

New UI → Old UI

To switch from the new UI back to the Old UI (Classic):

1. In the bottom-left corner of your screen, click on your name or profile picture.
2. From the dropdown menu, click Go back to the previous experience.
3. Click the toggle to confirm the switch.
4. The page reloads and displays the Old UI (Classic).
