What's the difference between connecting to Athena and Glue?
Atlan recommends setting up AWS Glue or Amazon Athena based on your intended outcome:
- To only crawl metadata, you can set up an AWS Glue connection.
- To also preview and query the data, you can set up an Amazon Athena connection.
Note that Amazon Athena also sources asset metadata directly from AWS Glue.
