The Lakehouse consists of multiple namespaces, each containing metadata for a specific use case.
ENTITY_METADATA
Raw layerRaw metadata tables for every Atlan asset, mapped directly to the Atlan metamodel. Use this namespace when you need the latest and most detailed technical view of assets and schemas.
ENTITY_HISTORY
HistoryHistorical snapshots of ENTITY_METADATA tables with up to 90 days of change history, available for asset types that have, or have had, assets in your tenant. Use this namespace to understand how metadata evolves over time and to support audit or trend analysis.
GOLD
Semantic viewsCurated, pre-materialized tables that simplify Lakehouse access. Built natively into the catalog with real-time sync. Use this namespace when you want consumption-ready tables for dashboards, reports, and AI assistants.
USAGE_ANALYTICS
UsageProduct usage events and identity snapshots—including AI interface usage across MCP, Conversational AI, Slack, and Teams—for customer adoption, engagement, retention, and health analyses.
OBSERVABILITY
Job metrics & app logsWorkflow and job execution metrics including DQ scores, sync health, pipeline performance, and structured app execution logs. Use this namespace to monitor Lakehouse job health, data quality trends, and debug app executions.
