What does Atlan import from ALTR?

Atlan imports metadata from ALTR based on the source mappings and classification job selected in your workflow configuration.

Imported metadata​

Atlan imports the following information from ALTR:

Classification results: Classification outcomes from the selected ALTR job.

Mapped source context: Source metadata required to match ALTR classifications to existing Atlan assets.

Source-linked governance tags: ALTR-derived tags created on mapped assets in Atlan. These tags are visually identifiable as ALTR-sourced metadata.

Notes​

  • ALTR metadata is imported for the mapped Snowflake source and selected classification job.
  • Atlan imports metadata only. No underlying source records are imported through this integration.
