Set up Telmai

Connect docs via MCP

You can use the Telmai app to integrate Telmai with Atlan by identifying the Telmai connections that correspond to your Atlan connections and generating the API credentials Atlan needs to authenticate.

Prerequisites​

Before you begin, make sure you have:

  • Access to the Telmai app in the Atlan marketplace. Search for Telmai in the marketplace to verify access. If you don't have access, contact Atlan support to request it.
  • Administrative access to your Telmai instance
  • At least one Telmai connection configured for the same data source as an Atlan connection you want to enrich
  • Assets scanned in Telmai—data quality metadata is only available for assets that have been scanned

Configure app​

Complete the following steps in your Telmai instance before setting up the ingestion workflow in Atlan.

Identify connection mapping​

Map the Atlan connection you want to enrich to its corresponding connection in Telmai.

  1. Log in to your Telmai instance.

  2. Identify the Telmai connection that points to the same underlying data source as the Atlan connection you want to enrich.

  3. Note the connection name—you need this when configuring the workflow in Atlan.

Generate API credentials​

Generate the API credentials required for Atlan to authenticate with Telmai.

  1. In Telmai, navigate to your account settings.

  2. Note your Tenant ID from the Telmai admin dashboard.

  3. Generate an API Key from your account settings.

  4. Make a note of the API URL, which is the base URL for your Telmai environment (for example, https://app.telm.ai)..
