Set up Elementary Cloud
The Elementary Cloud integration is configured in Elementary Cloud, not in Atlan. Elementary Cloud pushes data health scores and active incident context onto your warehouse assets as custom metadata—Atlan doesn't run a separate workflow to pull data.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure you have:
- An Elementary Cloud account with at least one environment monitoring your data warehouse.
- An Atlan Persona with Assets → Read/Update and Governance → Update custom metadata values permissions.
Create Elementary Cloud account
-
In Atlan, create an API key scoped to the Persona with the required permissions.
-
In your Elementary Cloud account, navigate to the Atlan integration settings.
-
For each environment you want to enrich in Atlan, provide:
- Your Atlan base URL (for example,
https://my-company.atlan.com) - The Atlan API key you created in step 1
- Your preferred sync cadence: Daily (once per day on a fixed schedule) or On Elementary Sync (after each Elementary environment sync completes)
- Your Atlan base URL (for example,
-
Save the configuration. Elementary Cloud begins syncing metadata on the schedule you selected.
For the full setup, see the Elementary Cloud Atlan integration guide.
