Preflight checks for Bigeye

Before integrating Bigeye, you can run preflight checks to perform the necessary technical validations. The following preflight checks are completed:

Bigeye instance accessibility check

This check tests for the validity of the host name URL and API key you provided. If Atlan is unable to connect to your Bigeye instance, this may indicate that your credentials are either incorrect or invalid.

✅ Check successful if the Bigeye instance is available.

❌ Unable to connect to your Bigeye instance

Permission (read access) check

This check tests whether or not you have the required permissions for querying the Bigeye API to fetch metadata.

✅ Check successful

❌ User lacks edit access and no Bigeye sources are mapped to Atlan sources error.
