You can crawl Confluent Schema Registry in two ways:
- Standalone: Use this connector to catalog Schema Registry subjects independently. Follow the steps below.
- Integrated with Confluent Kafka: Complete the Schema Registry setup, then enable Schema Registry crawling in the Confluent Kafka crawl workflow. This catalogs both Kafka and Schema Registry assets in a single workflow.
For standalone setup:
- Set up the connector: Create API keys on Confluent for Atlan to access your Schema Registry.
- Crawl Confluent Schema Registry: Configure and run the standalone Schema Registry crawler in Atlan.
Both paths support Direct and Agent extraction methods. Use Agent extraction with Self-Deployed Runtime when your Schema Registry isn't reachable from Atlan Cloud.
