Set up Claude Connector with Remote MCP Recommended models: Claude Sonnet 4+
Connect the Claude web interface to the Atlan Remote MCP server to search for assets, explore lineage, update metadata, and create glossary terms—all from the browser. OAuth only. API Key authentication isn't supported for Claude Connector.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure you have:
- An Atlan tenant with Remote MCP enabled.
- Access to Claude.ai with a plan that supports connectors.
- Administrator access to your Claude organization settings (required for Step 1).
Set up Claude connector

In Claude, navigate to Settings → Connectors → Organisation Connector → Add custom connector, and provide the MCP server URL. This step must be completed by an administrator.

Save the connector.

In the Chat UI, go to Search and Tools → Add Custom Connector → Your Connector.

Select the Atlan connector and complete the OAuth login flow. Once authentication is complete, the connector is ready to use.
