How to invite new users on Atlan and manage them

New users can be invited very easily inside Atlan. As soon as you send an invite, the user will get an email asking them to sign up on Atlan.

Just follow the steps in the next section to invite a new user to your instance.

Adding a new user in Atlan

STEP 1๏ธ: Go to the "Access" tab on the left

Click on the "Users" option (under the "Access Control" tab).

STEP 2๏ธ: Click on "Add User"

Enter their email and choose an appropriate role for the new user. Learn more about user roles here ๐Ÿ‘‰ User Roles.

Congratulations ๐Ÿ’™ Your new user has been invited to Atlan!

How to manage users

As soon as you send out an invite, the user will be listed in the table with a "Pending" status.

This table helps the Admin to manage all the users on the instance. An Admin can also change the role of a user or disable a user by clicking on the "Actions" icon โš™๏ธ next to each user.

๐Ÿ‘€ Note: Disposable emails cannot be used while adding users. The use of symbols like + and disposable email domains like yopmail, temp-mail etc. will throw an exception in Atlan.
