A quick way to check if all of Atlan's components are up and running.
A Brief Introduction
Like any other product, Atlan is continuously evolving. New features and enhancements are released frequently. Although the system is designed to have a minimum downtime during updates, there may be some updates that do have few mins of downtime due to various reasons.
This document will guide you on how to check the status of Atlan components running in the background.
This is a quick, direct way to check if something looks off while you are working. It's all visible on your Atlan Admin panel.
STEP 1: Login into the Atlan Platform using your user credentials.
STEP 2: Navigate to the "Admin" section and click on the "Health Status" section.
You should now be able to see all components and their status at that point in time. Refer to the image below.
👀 Note: Visibility of this section depends on the role assigned to you by your organization's admin.
Dashboard status page
Use this method to monitor your deployment from a Grafana dashboard that comes bundled with your deployment. This is more helpful in cases where you are updating the product and would like to continuously monitor the status of your deployment.
STEP 1: Navigate to the Grafana dashboard of your deployment
Go to the Grafana dashboard of your deployment at:<YOUR-ATLAN-DEPLOYMENT-URL>/services/monitor/login and click on the "sign-in with Oauth" button as shown below. This will take you to your Atlan login page.
STEP 2: Login here using your credentials
You will be redirected to Grafana from there.
🧙♀️ Remember: Access level to Grafana is determined as per the role assigned by your admin.
STEP 3: Navigate to the dashboard page and click on the "Atlan Service Overview" dashboard as shown below.
Grafana Dashboard Page
On this dashboard, there is a status panel of every critical component and would help you keep a track of any downtime experienced.

👀 Note: The dashboard panels may be updated to add any new, critical components or may have some panels removed if they can be consolidated into a single panel.
Do not worry if you see a slightly different version from the screenshot attached above!
