# Browser extension

The Atlan browser extension brings metadata context directly into your data tools. Without leaving your workflow, you can view descriptions, owners, lineage, and tags, edit metadata, search Atlan, and link any webpage as a resource to an asset. It works in Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge.

## Get started

Follow the steps below to start using the browser extension across your organization.

## Supported tools

The browser extension works directly inside your data tools, no tab switching required. When you open a supported asset, an Atlan icon appears in the lower-right corner of the page, giving you instant access to metadata, lineage, and governance context.

The extension currently supports the following tools. New integrations are added regularly.
