## Report on assets

The assets dashboard in the reporting center helps you monitor your assets in Atlan. You can view a total count of all your assets as well as a summary of your assets by different categories, connectors, [custom metadata](https://docs.atlan.com/llms/governance/custom-metadata/what-is-custom-metadata/llms.txt), and more.

## Filter assets

You can use a [variety of filters](https://docs.atlan.com/llms/catalog/discovery/use-the-filters-menu/llms.txt) to customize your view of asset metrics. For example, you can even drill down to the schema level for a more granular view.

To filter assets at the schema level:

1. From the left menu in Atlan, click **Reporting** and then click **Assets**.
2. Under _Assets_, for the _All Asset Types_ filter, select an asset type - for this example, we'll select _Table_.
3. For the _All Connectors/Connections_ filter:
 1. Select a connector - for this example, we'll select _Snowflake_.
 2. Next, select a connection - for this example, we'll select the `development` connection.
4. For the _All Databases_ filter, select a database - for this example, we'll select the `DBT_FOOD_BEVERAGE` database.
5. For the _All Schemas_ filter, select a schema - for this example, we'll select the `PUBLIC` schema.
6. (Optional) To further [refine your search](https://docs.atlan.com/llms/catalog/discovery/use-the-filters-menu/llms.txt), click **More filters**. For example, you can use the [_Domains_ filter](https://docs.atlan.com/llms/catalog/discovery/use-the-filters-menu/llms.txt) to filter assets by a single domain, multiple domains, or no domain - currently only supported for the assets dashboard.
7. (Optional) Once the filtered assets are displayed, click any data point to view the assets in a sidebar.
8. (Optional) In the top right of the sidebar, click the **Export** button to [export filtered assets](https://docs.atlan.com/llms/governance/integrations/export-assets/llms.txt) to a spreadsheet.

You will now be able to view metrics for your filtered assets! 🎉

## Review enrichment completion

The _Asset Enrichment_ section displays a total count of assets grouped by type of metadata enrichment. You can also view the total count of assets that need to be updated - for example, a total count of assets without [READMEs](https://docs.atlan.com/llms/governance/integrations/llms.txt).

To view assets without metadata enrichment:

1. From the left menu in Atlan, click **Reporting** and then click **Assets**.
2. Under _Asset Enrichment_, navigate to the card you want to view - for this example, we'll select the _With readme_ card.
3. In the _With readme_ card, click the assets remaining button to view all the assets without READMEs in a sidebar.
4. (Optional) In the top right of the sidebar, click the **Export** button to [export assets without enrichment](https://docs.atlan.com/llms/governance/integrations/export-assets/llms.txt) to a spreadsheet.

With this information in hand, you could [plan a gamification drive](https://university.atlan.com/) to crowdsource documentation across your teams.

 You can also view a total count of assets with [resources](https://docs.atlan.com/llms/catalog/discovery/add-a-resource/llms.txt) in the _Asset Enrichment_ section. To filter for assets without resources, use the _Has resources_ filter listed under _Properties_ in the more filters menu.

## Track lineage completion

You can track [lineage](https://docs.atlan.com/llms/catalog/lineage/what-is-lineage/llms.txt) completion for all your assets right from the assets dashboard. 

To track lineage completion for your assets:

1. From the left menu in Atlan, click **Reporting** and then click **Assets**.
2. In the _Assets_ dashboard, scroll down to the _Assets with Lineage_ section.
3. Total counts for lineage completion are reported in `#` numbers by default. Under _Assets with Lineage,_ click the `%` icon to view total counts in percentage.
4. (Optional) Click any asset type to view the assets in a sidebar.
5. (Optional) In the top right of the sidebar, click the **Export** button to [export assets with lineage](https://docs.atlan.com/llms/governance/integrations/export-assets/llms.txt) to a spreadsheet.

 You can also view metrics for assets that have data lineage using the _Has lineage_ filter listed under _Properties_ in the filters menu.

## Customize enrichment metrics

The enrichment tracker allows you to customize your view of enrichment metrics. For example, you can filter metrics for your assets within a custom date range.

To view asset enrichment metrics for a custom date range:

1. From the left menu in Atlan, click **Reporting** and then click **Assets**.
2. (Optional) Under _Assets_, click the **_All Connectors/Connections_** filter to view enrichment metrics for a specific [connector](https://docs.atlan.com/llms/catalog/connector-capabilities/supported-sources/llms.txt) or [connection](https://docs.atlan.com/llms/catalog/connector-capabilities/monitor-connectivity/llms.txt).
3. In the _Assets_ dashboard, scroll down to the _Enrichment Tracker_ and click the date selector.
4. From the date selector dropdown, click **Custom range**.
5. To the right of the date fields, click the **calendar** **icon** and then select the dates for which you'd like to view enrichment metrics.

Asset enrichment metrics will be displayed for your custom date range! 🎉

You can also view metadata and certificate updates over time for a custom date range and filter by connector or connection.

 The default date range for metrics is set to 14 days. You can also view metrics for the last 7, 30, or 45 days, or a custom date range of your choice, where applicable.
