## Report on queries

The Data Exploration dashboard in the reporting center helps you track metrics for all your [queries](https://docs.atlan.com/llms/catalog/insights/query-data/llms.txt) and query runs.

You can also use a [variety of filters](https://docs.atlan.com/llms/catalog/discovery/use-the-filters-menu/llms.txt) to customize your view of query metrics - including [query collections](https://docs.atlan.com/llms/catalog/insights/save-and-share-queries/llms.txt), folders, [saved queries](https://docs.atlan.com/llms/catalog/insights/save-and-share-queries/llms.txt), and more.

:::info **Did you know?** 
 The default date range for metrics is set to 14 days. You can also view metrics for the last 7, 30, or 45 days, or a custom date range of your choice, where applicable.

## Filter by query type

Atlan allows you to [write your own SQL queries](https://docs.atlan.com/llms/catalog/insights/query-data/llms.txt) or [use the Visual Query Builder](https://docs.atlan.com/llms/catalog/insights/query-data/llms.txt). This means you can also filter query metrics by query type.

To filter queries by type of query:

1. From the left menu in Atlan, click **Reporting** and then click **Data Exploration**.
2. From the _Insights_ dashboard, in the upper right, click **Query Type**.
3. From the _Query Type_ dropdown, click **SQL Query** to view metrics for your SQL queries or click **Visual Query** to view metrics for your visual queries.
4. (Optional) Under _Queries by certificate_, click any data point to view query assets in a sidebar. In the top right of the sidebar, click the **Export** button to [export filtered assets](https://docs.atlan.com/llms/governance/integrations/export-assets/llms.txt) to a spreadsheet.

## View scheduled queries by user

The Data Exploration dashboard also offers you a breakdown of [scheduled queries](https://docs.atlan.com/llms/catalog/insights/schedule-a-query/llms.txt) by individual users. You can keep track of your scheduled queries and view top users.

To view scheduled queries by user:

1. From the left menu in Atlan, click **Reporting** and then click **Data Exploration**.
2. From the _Insights_ dashboard, scroll down to _Scheduled Queries_
3. Under _Scheduled Queries_, click **Created by all users**.
4. From the _Created by all users_ dropdown, select the user by whom you want to filter scheduled queries.
