How to configure your Atlan Jira app

๐Ÿš€ How to integrate Atlan and Jira

STEP 1: Add the Atlan app to Jira

  1. Go to your Atlan admin page.

  2. Select the Jira tab under "Integrations".

  3. Click on the "Setup now" button.

  4. Click "Allow" on the Jira authentication page.

STEP 2: Install the Atlan Jira app in your Jira workspace

You will have to install Atlan's Jira app from the Atlassian marketplace.

๐Ÿ‘€ Note: If you don't have the permissions to install an app in your Jira workspace, you will have to do Step 3 below.

STEP 3: Request to install the Atlan app

If you see the "Request to install" screen (below), follow these steps:

  1. Click the "Request app" button.

  2. Add a message for your Jira admin.

  3. Hit the "Submit request" button.

  4. Reach out to your Jira workspace admin to approve the installation of the Atlan app.

  5. Once they do, you will get an email from Jira telling you that the Atlan app is installed.

Your Atlan and Jira are now integrated! ๐ŸŽ‰

๐Ÿ‘€ Note: All the Jira issues created or linked from Atlan will be registered by the Jira user who has set up the app inside Atlan.

๐Ÿ”ฆ How to search via JQL with Atlan properties

From the Jira advanced search page, you can filter your Jira issues using Atlan's properties. This uses JQL, the Jira Query Language. Learn more about JQL here.โ€‹

Below are lots of ways to filter Jira issues. You can also change the operators and even add multiple filters.

Filter by asset type
