Configure the Immuta workflow in Atlan to enrich data assets with Immuta access request links, enabling users to request data access and submit masking exception requests directly from asset profiles.

## Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have:

* All relevant data sources registered over connections in Immuta. See the [Immuta documentation on how to register connections](https://documentation.immuta.com/saas/configuration/integrations/data-and-integrations/registering-a-connection#how-to-guides).
* An Atlan user account with **Admin** or **Workflow Admin** role
* An Atlan API key with the required privileges to enrich assets in the Atlan connections in scope
* If you intend to enrich column masking exception requests: an [Immuta Personal Access Token (PAT)](https://documentation.immuta.com/saas/developer-guides/api-intro/marketplace-api#generate-a-personal-access-token-pat) with the required privileges

## Create workflow

1. In your Atlan workspace, click **Connectors** in the left sidebar.
 * If you are using the **Old UI (Classic)**, click **New Workflow** in the top navigation.

2. Click **Marketplace**.

3. Search for **Immuta** and select it.

4. Click **Install**.

5. Once installation completes, click **Setup Workflow** on the same tile.

## Configure workflow

### Step 1: Setup

Provide the details of your Immuta instance.

1. Optionally, enter your **Immuta Host**. Defaults to `app.immutacloud.com` if left blank.

2. Optionally, enter your **Immuta [Account ID](https://documentation.immuta.com/saas/request/access-data-products/how-to-guides/logging-into-marketplace#sharing-the-login-url)**. This is used to scope access request links to your specific Immuta account.

### Step 2: Credentials

Provide credentials and configure which access request enrichments to apply.

1. Enter an **Atlan API Key** with the required privileges to enrich assets in the Atlan connections in scope.

2. Set **Support requesting access to data products** to **Yes** to enrich Immuta data products with access request links. Users see a **Request Data Access** button on data product profiles.

3. Set **Support requesting access to assets** to **Yes** to enrich supported data assets with access request links. Users can see a **Request Data Access** button on asset profiles.

4. Set **Support requesting masking exceptions on masked columns** to **Yes** to enrich columns where an Immuta masking policy is enforced with masking exception request links. Users see a **Request Masking Exception** button on the column profile overview panel. This button only appears on columns that have masking enforced.

5. If you set **Support requesting masking exceptions on masked columns** to **Yes**, enter a **[Personal Access Token from the Immuta Request App](https://documentation.immuta.com/saas/developer-guides/api-intro/marketplace-api#generate-a-personal-access-token-pat)**. This is required for the workflow to identify which columns have masking policies enforced.

## Run workflow

1. Click **Run Workflow** for a one-time run.

2. Optionally, click **Schedule Run** to set up recurring runs.

After the workflow completes, Immuta access request links are associated with the relevant assets in Atlan based on your configured preferences.

## Need help

If you need assistance with setup, contact Atlan Support by [submitting a support request](https://docs.atlan.com/support/submit-request).
