## Crawl Dagster assets

> Capture lineage from Dagster assets by creating a listener in Atlan. Extract data orchestration metadata and asset dependencies from your Dagster instance.

Create a listener in Atlan to capture lineage from your [Dagster](https://docs.atlan.com/llms/connectors/dagster/set-up-dagster/llms.txt) assets. After completing the prerequisite setup, you can extract data orchestration metadata, asset dependencies, and transformation lineage. Review the [order of operations](https://docs.atlan.com/llms/catalog/connector-capabilities/order-workflows/llms.txt) for metadata enrichment workflows before starting.

## Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have:
* Admin access to your Atlan workspace
* Configured Dagster for Atlan integration. For more information, see [Set up Dagster](https://docs.atlan.com/llms/connectors/dagster/set-up-dagster/llms.txt)

## Create listener

Follow these steps to create a listener in Atlan that captures lineage from Dagster.

1. In your Atlan workspace, click **Connectors** in the left sidebar.
 * If you are using the **Old UI (Classic)**, click **New Workflow** in the top navigation.

2. Click **Marketplace**.

3. Search for **Dagster Assets** and select it.

4. Click **Install**.

5. Once installation completes, click **Setup Workflow** on the same tile.

5. Select **Create Listener**.

### Configure connection

Follow these steps to configure the Dagster connection in Atlan and finalize lineage capture.

1. Enter a **Connection Name**. For example, `production`, `development`, or `analytics`.

2. Assign at least one **Connection Admin**.

3. Click **Create Connection**

4. Track the events in real time in the **Workflow center >> Manage**.
