# Preflight checks for SAP Datasphere 

Before [running the SAP Datasphere crawler](https://docs.atlan.com/llms/connectors/sap-datasphere/crawl-sap-datasphere/llms.txt), you can run [preflight checks](https://docs.atlan.com/llms/catalog/connector-capabilities/what-are-preflight-checks/llms.txt) to perform the necessary technical validations. The following preflight checks are completed:

## SAP Datasphere API

✅ `Datasphere API check passed`

❌ `Datasphere API check failed: <error message>`

Validates that Atlan can authenticate to the SAP Datasphere APIs using the OAuth client ID, client secret, and token URL you provided.

## Spaces

✅ `Spaces check passed`

❌ `Spaces check failed: <error message>`

Validates that the OAuth client can list the spaces in your tenant, which is required to select the spaces to crawl.

## SAP HANA

✅ `SAP HANA check passed`

❌ `SAP HANA check failed: <error message>`

Validates that Atlan can connect to the SAP HANA Cloud SQL endpoint using the host, port, and database user you provided.
